EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
What can we and our friends and family do to help?
1. Pray, Pray, Pray.
2. Collect summer clothes - good condition - all ages and sizes.
3. Collect first aid supplies - gauze, tape, alcohol swabs, ibuprofen, aspirin, antibiotic creams, hand sanitizer, etc.
4. Purchase MRE's (Meals ready to eat) to be used by teams when we are able to go.
5. Donate funds - when we are able to take in a team, funds will be needed to purchase supplies and food for distribution. The only people who receive any compensation from JoyHouse are the Haitian people who work in and around the Mission Center when teams are there. We pay no travel expenses or salaries from your donations. All team members are volunteers. ALL the money you contribute goes to the work in Haiti. JoyHouse is supported entirely through the gifts given here.
We are a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt charitable organization. We have a six-member Board of Directors that helps us seek God’s direction for our work in Haiti.
Special Projects
These projects relate to the Mission Center and Church. Previously, there has been little or no space for the ongoing work. Now, we are fortunate to have a place for the church, although it needs a lot of repair. The church is a much needed space for worship. The Mission Center is now a place for teams to meet and for the activities such as food distribution and medical treatment.

Ongoing Ministry Needs
Church Sponsorship
$200 per month
Money given for this ministry helps us to encourage and strengthen churches. This is an opportunity to help provide very basic things for a local church. It may be used for study materials, medical and mercy ministry to members, a generator, or even to help dig a well to provide water for the church.
Pastor Sponsorship
$100 per month
This money is to provide a small stipend to help support and encourage the pastors of the local churches we work with.
Sponsor a Child in an Orphanage
$35 per month
This money will provide food, clothing, school and supplies for one child in a local orphanage.
Bibles for Baptisms and the Schools
$5 each
We provide a bible, whenever possible, to the new Christians after they are baptized. If we are fortunate to have additional bibles, we also provide some to the local school-age children.
Materials/Supplies Used at the Mission Center
$300 per year
These materials are used for teaching spiritual growth, medical and hygiene, skills classes, women’s classes, and materials for programs for children.
Food
$50 per month (from 10 different sponsors)
Food is so expensive. The local people need help buying simple rice and beans. We distribute the food we purchase locally every time we are in Haiti. It is hard to learn on an empty stomach.
